Unique project: Vilnius turns into Rome
The city’s authorities and enterprises came up with a creative way out of the situation with restrictions on traveling abroad. Starting on June 5th, every second weekend of this summer, Vilnius will pick up the form of a certain country. Get ready for themed guided tours, traditional cuisine and music of the selected region, exhibitions, discounts and special offers from hotels and restaurants. All events will take place by taking into account relevant precautions in the country.
The first country that Vilnius will turn into from June 5th to June 7th will be Italy. Venetian carnival at Užupis, parade of Italian “Vespa” scooters, an exhibition of “Alfa Romeo” automobiles await. The restaurants of Saviciaus and Užupis streets will present an Italian menu. After Italy, on June 19th, Vilnius will embody the culture of India, and on July 3rd that of the USA.
