Vilnius Zoo, Lithuania: An Exotic Jungle in the City

In Vilnius, at Verkių Street 27 (Ogmios miestas), you will find yourself in a remarkable space — Zoopark. It’s a modern and spacious indoor zoo that recreates a tropical atmosphere. Here, every visitor can take a miniature journey into the world of wildlife without leaving the city.

The animal collection in Vilnius is impressive in its diversity and exoticism. Here, you’ll encounter charming ring-tailed lemurs, curious meerkats, and a whole family of rare primates: from tiny pygmy marmosets and tamarins to golden-headed lion tamarins. Among the foliage, you’ll spot vibrant Ariel’s toucans and unusual flying squirrels, and in the terrariums, charismatic bearded dragons, Madagascar cockroaches, and even the ball armadillo. In total, over 60 animal species from all over the world live here. Some animals also move freely – for example, lemurs can walk around the space, creating a unique experience for visitors.

The Zoo places special emphasis on interactive experiences. Guests can feed special food to friendly rabbits, guinea pigs, and colorful lorikeets at a designated times. This provides an unforgettable experience and allows you to get up close and personal with these wonderful animals.

There are also specific feeding times when keepers feed meerkats, farm animals, lemurs, and monkeys – we recommend visiting during these times, as they offer very engaging and lively moments.

For those interested in learning more about our planet’s biodiversity, the Zoo offers educational tours, including in Russian and English. Professional guides will tell amazing stories about the lives of jungle and desert inhabitants. Please note that advance reservations are required for tours.
