Vinoteek Prelude is a unique venue with multiple awards. It has been recognized by Tripadvisor as the best wine bar and the best restaurant in Kuresaare; local experts have also acknowledged it as one of the top places in Estonia.

The restaurant is located near the medieval castle, the main attraction of Kuresaare. Inside, it looks like a wine cellar with its stone walls, wooden trim, darkened premises, candles, a bar with a large wine shelf, and a fireplace. Guests can sit at a table on the first and second floors of the restaurant or outside.

The menu features a selection of appetizers and main courses. Vinoteek Prelude supports local production and utilizes fresh ingredients purchased from farmers. So, the menu has the item “Fresh fish from Saarema waters”: this dish is prepared from the catch of the day. As an appetizer, you can order a cheese platter from a farm in South Estonia, and local lamb, wild boar, and venison as a second course.

In addition to the endless choice of bottled wines, the menu also features over 40 different wines that can be enjoyed by the glass. Guests can sample sparkling, white, red, and rosé wines from the Old World. The Vinoteek Prelude collection of wines has been repeatedly praised as the best on the island of Saaremaa.

Meal prices vary:
snacks – 4-15€,
main dishes – 13-27€.

Prices for wines also vary depending on the drink: 6-54€ per glass or starting from 25€ per bottle.

In addition to wine, the restaurant serves cigars and digestifs; this extra option is available starting from 30€.
