On Saturday, July 18th, Cesis celebrates its 814th Birthday. Due to restrictions on social events, there will be no fireworks this year. Instead, for the first time in the history of the city, a festive illumination of the tower of St. John’s Church will be established. An orchestra car will pass through the city streets, a live concert program will be broadcast during the day. At the cesis.lv website you can watch interviews with famous residents of Cesis. Also, you can personally visit the festive market and sports games at the city stadium. Concerts and performances are up for admission by appointment.
