Vizium Science Center. Ventspils, Latvia

You are welcome to visit this interactive science center to get acquainted with the world of science, learn more about modern technologies and have a great time with family or friends.

Vizium starts surprising its guests at the first steps, as the building looks very futuristic and unusual. Inside, visitors will find a city of the future: the exhibition includes more than 80 interactive exhibits that will open up the world of modern science. The big advantage of the center is that it will be interesting for both small children and teenagers and their parents.

The center is divided into 7 thematic zones called “galleries”. The main focus of Vizium is information and communication technologies and their use in science and the life of a modern person. At the same time, you can also explore topics such as physics and mathematics, healthy lifestyle, geography, human and self-perception and other topics.

In each gallery, visitors will find different activities: puzzles, games, simulators, screens, virtual reality, interactive models and much more. All exhibits allow you to get acquainted with such a teaching method as STEM. It combines science, technology, engineering thinking and mathematics and helps to develop critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.

The Vizium center hosts science shows several times a day, where viewers are shown fascinating chemical and physical experiments. The shows are designed in such a way that everyone is interested. Every 2-3 months the show changes. In this way, the science center manages to surprise even regular visitors.

If you want to feel like a real scientist, you can sign up for creative science workshops, where together with a center employee you can conduct experiments yourself and see the magic of science in action.

The science center has a cafe where you can have a snack after research activities. If you want to hold your own event in this unusual space, Vizium has conference rooms to make use of. You can also celebrate a birthday here with a special festive program.
