Juodkrante is the second largest settlement in Neringa, on the Curonian Spit in Lithuania. The population is about 900 people; the length of the village is only two kilometers.

The name Juodkrante is translated as “black coast”. This is a favorite place for Lithuanian tourists, as well as for tourists from Scandinavia, Germany, Poland and Latvia. The terrain here is similar to small towns in Sweden or Norway.

On the outskirts, you will find the “Mountain of Witches” and a colony of black cormorants and herons nearby.
